    Steps in setting up any business entity in India

    For the company registration process, the below checklist is mandatory.

    1. Unique Name- Select a unique name reflecting the vision and mission of your company. It should be short, easy to remember and clearly communicate and showcasing your company’s products and services.
    2. Registered Office- An address representing the legal place for carrying out the official correspondence. It can be a commercial space or rent property after receiving the NOC from landlord.
    3. Minimum capital of Rs. 1 lakh to commence the business.
    4. Minimum two directors to start a private limited companies amongst which atleast one should be the resident of India. The number of maximum directors is 15.
    5. Obtain the DIN i.e. the Director Identification Number (DIN) which is mandatorily required for the online registration of a company. Fill the DIR-3 & DSC forms and submit on the MCA’s website with the copy of following documents- Passport, Address proof, Education certificates, passport sized photograph, and current occupation if any.
    6. Acquire Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) to get the authority of using digital signatures on the documents to be submitted online. You need to fill the same forms and submit similar documents required to obtain DIN.

    Once the above checklist is completed, register your company on MCA portal and create a new account @mca.gov.in
